I recently released my debut EP "Long Vacation" on the independent label Silo Arts & Records.

The making of this record was a very DIY process as I recorded, produced, performed and mixed it in my bedroom studio throughout 2012 to early 2013. I was lucky enough to have a few friends help out, Gus Gardiner (cello) and Nicholas Shearer (tape loops). Spending many hours cooped up amongst dresses and coats, I recorded most of the EP in my wardrobe/makeshift recording booth. There are also field-recordings from my travels in 2011 in London and Iceland so it has a lot of sentimental value for me as it was written during a very formative time. I'm proud of it and I feel very blessed with its reception so far. So thank you to everyone who's already shown it some love!

I read an apt slogan the other day, "No one remembers their first download, everyone remembers their first record." It would be an incredible gift if I could get this EP pressed onto vinyl. Although digital is great for popping songs onto the Ipod while you do your buns-of-steel workout routine, there's something special about a physical record. I really love how immersive and tangible the listening experience becomes. If my EP could be listened to in this way, it would mean the world! Andy Wilson (Andras Fox, Fox + Sui) designed the kickass cover art. Nicholas Shearer did the photography. The cover art itself is something I am proud of and would love to see in its proper 12" x 12" form.

I hope the revamped Long Vacation EP can provide you with a summer soundtrack to fall in love, achieve life goals or get over a breakup with your new soul-glo-worthy haircut.
