Kiss My Camera is a music photography competition and exhibition that showcases the amazing work of emerging and established WA music photographers, and this year we need your help to raise funds towards the competition’s prizes and framing costs.
Kiss My Camera is a joint effort between the WA Museum and WAM, who donate their time and resources every year to get the project happening. In 2013 the exhibition will launch in November at the gorgeous heritage-listed Hackett Hall at the WA Museum’s Perth site, as part of the WAMi Festival.
Fifty of the best competition works will be chosen to exhibit, with prize categories for “Best Live Image” and “Best Portrait” selected from the final fifty. Kiss My Camera will also be sharing the love regionally and will tour to Albany in 2014.
This year is Kiss My Camera’s fifth anniversary so to celebrate, and for the first time ever in the history of the exhibition, we want to offer a cash prize to each winner so they can keep doing the incredible work they do; promoting music through their art!
WHAT WE’RE ASKING FOR
WAM is aiming to raise $1,500 so we can provide;
- a $500 cash prize for the “Best Live” and “Best Portrait” categories
and
- $500 towards the hefty printing and framing costs (over $2,500)
It’s all about shining a light on the amazing creative talents and incredible output of our music photographers, so if you love music and photography please take a moment to look over the rewards. There’s so much on offer – anything from tickets to see live music, major surrealist art exhibitions, Egyptian mummies and much, much more!
