WHAT IS 'GREAT WHITE'?
GREAT WHITE is a new play that will be part of The Blue Room Theatre 2013 season and the Perth Winter Arts Festival. It has been written in response to the five fatal shark attacks that left Western Australia stunned and searching for answers.
AND WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Guess? Yep, you got it, GREAT WHITE is about a shark. A great, big, Great White Shark.
It's also a play about time, lost opportunity and love. GREAT WHITE introduces you to three characters trapped in an enormous ocean. It's amazing how LIFE gets capitalised by a circling fin...

GREAT WHITE is the first fully fledged production by The Skeletal System, a company looking to stage exciting and accomplished theatre. Our goal is simple: to tell stories that explore what it means to be a human being. WHO IS INVOLVED?
To quote the late David Foster Wallace, "Fiction should disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed".
And we imagine there's nothing more disturbing than finding you're not quite alone out in the deep.

GREAT WHITE started with a scribble and has grown into something with teeth. The script has undergone some serious rewrites and all the while our artists have been running around like mad designing costumes, composing music and researching big fish that supposedly can't get cancer etc etc.

WHAT CAN $4000 BUY?
Good question. Whilst 4000 cinnamon donuts might be the obvious answer, that kind of money could really help us conjure a Great White Shark in The Blue Room Theatre.
Your donation gives GREAT WHITE the chance to be truly...well...great.
It offers our actors and artists a token payment for their hard work and incredible talent as well as allowing The Skeletal System a chance to invest in building audiences and our profile as a company.
Your donation helps us graduate from 'The Little Engine that Could' to something...more fuel efficient...

Edward Albee - whose analogy we've stolen - says good theatre engages its audience by holding up a mirror. The mirror says 'This is who you are. This is how you behave. If you don't like what you see, why don't you change?'
We want you invested in this show's success and by donating you can celebrate the fact that you're shaping how we see ourselves as a culture and nation. In order to grow we need to know who we are and that means we need help creating one massive mirror.
