Internet trolls aka keyboard warriors: their cyber bullying pollutes the Internet with the primary objective of bringing people down. We, Twelve Foot Ninja, are embarking on an ambitious music video project to play out the most extreme, fantastical retaliation story we could conjure! Aiding us in combating this contentious issue: U.S band Periphery, a 7ft stuffed brown bear and a Penthouse model (to name just a few).

If we had a dollar for every Facebook, Twitter or Youtube comment asking us to make another music video we could have paid off multiple music videos by now, hence this crowd funding campaign.

To make this concept a reality we will require more resources, more expertise, more crew, more special effects and more funding in order to make a truly EPIC music video. How EPIC? We're talking creating an actual troll using Lord of The Rings quality prosthetics, Quentin Tarantino quality gore, a fully choreographed fight scene, building props to smash, military grade weaponry, and if you can imagine...Mincing a troll into burger patties to be dowsed in mustard and ketchup and devoured by Periphery and Twelve Foot Ninja! Don't you think that would be satisfying!?

We want to make our best music video yet and we reckon our fans share this sentiment. So we figure, why not make it more epic than anything we've ever done and let our fans play a big part in its creation? WHY WILL IT COST SO MUCH?
The clip will take 4 rigorous days of shooting to capture what has been written. All prices we have are extremely competitive, it is the sheer volume of items and the logistics of making this video that make it so expensive. For example:

Multiple Locations - location hire each day the cost of location hire can be alarming
Set Design & Props - every item in the clip has to be sourced
Gaffa film lighting specialist & lights - often worth tens of thousands of dollars each
Grip - dollys & assembly
Camera, Lens & Equipment Hire - RED cameras alone are worth $60,000 without trying
DOP - director of photography
DOP Assistant - assisting with camera operation
Behind The Scenes Documentary - we try & pay BenDavies in beef jerky but prefers $
Prosthetics & Gore - Hollywood quality does not come cheap
Makeup Artist - so we don't look like sweaty bastards or so we look like sweaty bastards
Costume Hire - there are multiple specific outfits needed
Actors - they are working cheap but they still need to be paid
Armourer - any REAL lethal weaponry needs expert supervision
Fight Choreographer - brutal fights have to be done right
Jerk Back Machine & Crash Mats - gotta have one of these
Catering - everyone needs to be fed with long days of filming - Subway it is!
Editing - cutting 4 days of footage together shot in extremely high resolution takes time
VFX - the cool stuff that happens digitally like Terminator 3
Colour Grading - like photoshopping the final product so it looks slick
Preparation of final product for Television - conversion to digital tape

Twelve Foot Ninja has quickly gained a reputation for putting out awesome music videos. Their clip for "Coming For You" was rated number 16 on the RAGE 50 Best Music Videos of 2012 out ranking clips by artists like Lana Del Ray, Kanye West, Skrillex, Tom Waits and Bruno Mars.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SO FAR?
We have filmed (self funded) two scenes from the clip while Periphery were in Australia for Soundwave festival.

1.) Periphery performing a show with "air instruments" while an unrequited love saga unfolds between an Internet Troll and a Penthouse Pet. The Penthouse Pet lusts after Spencer (Periphery vocalist) spiralling the Internet Troll further into his angst (shot at the Espy Gerswhin Room).

2.) Stevic serves up "Troll Burgers" to Periphery, Twelve Foot Ninja and a very skimpily bikini clad Penthouse Pet in a slightly abstract BBQ setting furnished with AstroTurf, pink flamingos, a 7 foot stuffed Alaskan brown Bear (which died of natural causes) and Spencer in a kiddy pool (shot at Captain Baxter bar in St.kilda).

These two scenes only make up a mere fraction of what we have planned if we achieve our target!
