During the 2015 South Australian Living Artist Festival, Floating Goose Studios is hosting a live visual art exhibition, 'Occasional Purpose'. We are asking for your help to make this exhibition possible. We’ve opened our gallery walls, given free reign, and asked close to 30 local artists to create art live over three consecutive Fridays. Each night is an opportunity for the community to experience first hand, all the hard work, skill, talent, mediums, creativity and fun that goes into making art. Your generosity will not only allow us to provide the materials and space needed, but will ensure we can continue to hold events like this in the future.

Floating Goose Studios Inc. is an artist run, not for profit gallery and studios space located at 9 Carrington Street, Adelaide, South Australia. Our aim is to support young and emerging artists by providing opportunities to exhibit in a prominent city location and to work in a supportive collaborative studio environment.

Occasional Purpose Dates:

Friday 31^st July – Sunday 2^nd August
Friday 7^th August – Sunday 9^th August
Friday 14^th August – Sunday 16^th August

The live sessions will be on the Friday from 3pm – 9pm, each showing a different group of artists, and the outcome of each session with be exhibited till the end of the corresponding weekend.

We need help raising $3000 in funds. This money will be used to cover SALA registration, enable us to provide all basic materials and supports (e.g. cartridge paper, charcoal, acrylic paint, erasers) for all of our artists, print collateral, local promotion and advertising, liquor licences, and the cost of running the gallery space for the duration of this show.

We want to encourage as much of the public as possible to support local artists and events like this, so our main challenges are around promotion and funding. We believe that Floating Goose Studios has a strong social network, and very passionate friends and colleagues both inside and outside the visual arts. Our support base grows with every exhibition.
