iPads for Indigenous Students

Over the past three years we have trialled using iPads in class and they have proven to be very popular among indigenous students. The iPads are easy to use and many apps are available to help students with literacy and numeracy. As we only have one 'class set' at the moment, they cannot be used by all of our students. When all classes are in attendance, we have around 75 students but only 15 iPads.
How The Funds Will Be Used
Our plan is to purchase 20 iPads as a 'class set' to enable more students to take advantage of the technology and help ease them into the world of computing.

The Challenges
The time frame is short.
We would like to have the new 'class set' of iPads ready for term III which begins on July 20, 2015.
The College can function without having the extra set of iPads but it will hinder the ability of students to gain confidence in using technology and slow down learning outcomes when access to the very helpful apps is not available to them.
