Now that we have achieved our original goal of $8000, matched by Creative Partnerships Australia, further donations will support us in working with a recognised professional consultant to develop a strategic philanthropic fundraising plan.
This will involve opportunities for the entire staff and board of Belconnen Arts Centre to develop philanthropic fundraising skills, and to workshop strategies to establish a strong basis for support in the future. Every dollar donated will be put towards capacity building initiatives – thank you for your amazing support!

Here's how it works:
We've successfully received $8,000 in 'matched funding' from Creative Partnerships Australia. This program, titled Plus1, offers matched funding to arts organisations so they can develop their capacity to obtain private sector support (such as seeking funding for grants). Belconnen Arts Centre is the first ever successful applicant of Plus1 in the ACT, which we think is a good thing!
What this means for you:
Thanks to Plus1, any pledge you make (up to a total of $8000) will be matched dollar-for-dollar! This means you're doubling the impact of your support, a great opportunity to make double the difference for our community.

Everyone who contributes, whatever the amount, will be invited to a Thank You Party at Belconnen Arts Centre on 11 June, with a special preview of two exhibitions, live music and a few surprises to be announced.

How The Funds Will Be Used
A successful campaign will give us the people we need to go out and create ongoing funding opportunities for BAC. Your initial donation now will plant the seed for long term success for Belconnen Arts Centre fundraising goals. Every cent will go towards our fundraising program.
This will have significant impact by allowing us to seek more grants and to grow our sponsorship base in Belconnen and North West Canberra. By securing further funding we can make future creative endeavours more accessible to the community, including free festivals, concerts, classes and workshops!
