HOW WILL WE SPEND YOUR MONEY?
First we will go into Blackbird Sound Studio in Perth and work with the awesome producer Dave Parkin (who produced our E.P. Ghost Romance). We will spend a week tracking the songs (thats recording all the parts; drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, trumpets, percussion and vocals). We have started this step already and have tracked instruments on a few songs.
Once all the parts are recorded, we need to mix the songs. This is where all the levels are set, effects and plug-ins are added to the tracks to make each instrument sound perfect. Parko gets all magical and we listen and discuss and listen some more.
Once the songs are mixed, we send them off to me mastered. This is a delicate process in which the songs are boosted and compressed to sound loud and sparkly and how you guys will expect them to sound on the radio.
Now we need some super genius cool arty folks to make some beautiful eye-catching artwork.
We have some pretty exciting ideas about this but are keeping it very hush hush at the moment ;)
Finally we are ready to print/press and distribute our album.
And then we can share it with you!
HOW DO YOU KNOW WE CAN DO IT?
Well. we already released a four track EP ‘Ghost Romance’. We managed to fund that ourselves through gigs and teeshirt sales. We fulfilled all the above stages successfully , and now we want to do the same with the album but on a much bigger scale!
