I am a singer-songwriter who loves to make music, and I would like to ask for your help in making my second album a reality (by reality, I mean real, physical in-your-hands ALBUM that you can touch, play and even lick, if you like the taste of polycarbonate).


(This is me. Hello)

In November 2011, I was lucky enough to release my debut album with the ABC. Due to time constraints, the list of original songs that was planned to be recorded had to be postponed, so I ended up making a traditional Celtic album with ambient and orchestral sounds. 



The album, named 'As Night Falls' was nominated for the 2012 Best World Music Album ARIA (how insane is that?! When the official nomination email came through, I actually thought it was spam and nearly deleted it. True story).

My new album is the project I have always wanted to make. A collection of original songs, a duet and a cover (one which I am repeatedly asked to record). My songs tell stories about love, loss, not fitting in, vanilla cities, chocolate crushes, redemption, salvation, heartache, heartbreak, happiness and Anne Boleyn (another true story, except we haven't met because she was executed in 1536, which complicates things).

With your kind support, I will be able to record, release and tour my new album in August 2015. Thank you so much, you beautiful people. Here we go!

There is a chance this project will not be successful. If that happens, I may just be doomed to live a nomadic existence eating cheese from a jar. If I am unsuccessful (other than the cheese thing), I will still try to make this album and release it digitally, using the sales and performance income to pay for the production. It will just take a little longer to release and won't be quite how I had originally envisaged. But I love my job, and the music is that important to me. I am a firm believer of finding ways around obstacles (like the movie Labyrinth, but without David Bowie. Shame)
