ABOUT THE PROJECT
Teenage Kicks is a distinctive and compelling international theatrical arthouse film, from the award-winning team of Craig Boreham and Annmaree J Bell.
WHY WE'RE CROWD FUNDING!
We’re aiming to start production in mid 2013, BUT - in order to do that we need your support. We have some great investors willing to support us, and we are VERY CLOSE to having the funds that we need to make the film. BUT, we are still a little short, and that's why we need your help.
We need to raise the final $200,000 of our budget, to push the project into production.
If 2,000 supporters pledge $100 each, we'll hit our dream target!
We’ve set our Pozible goal at $67,000 because we want to make sure we reach it (if we don't hit our Pozible goal, we don't get any money!). BUT we don't want the pledging to stop there! Even if we reach $67,000, people can still pledge more to help us reach our dream target (and still reap their rewards!). We really need $200K to finalise the film’s budget.
You can pledge a small amount in return for rewards like DVD’s and posters or you can donate more and with a larger donation even become one of our Associate Producers.

ABOUT THE TEAM
TEENAGE KICKS is the passion project of award-winning writer/director Craig Boreham and producer Annmaree J Bell. Between them the team has won numerous international awards for their work, and their films have screened in prestigious film festivals all over the world including: Berlin, Palm Springs, New York and Montreal. They are recognised as one of the most promising creative teams to emerge in the Australian film industry.
WRITER/DIRECTOR – CRAIG BOREHAM
Craig Boreham, is a Sydney based writer, director. A graduate of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Craig has directed short films, ads, music clips and has worked extensively in the area of post-production on many projects. Much of Craig's video and film work focuses on themes of sexuality and the politics of desire. His films have been seen in over 200 festival screenings and received numerous awards including The Berlin International Film Festival, Palm Springs International Short Film Festival and many others.
PRODUCER – ANNMAREE J BELL
Annmaree is the producer and founder of Azure Productions, with over 15 years project management experience Annmaree most recently completed short film Sanctuary with writer/director Benedict Samuel, The Bunker with writer/director Kate Vinen and Blue Monday with Drowning writer/director Craig Boreham and Grace with writer/director Liz Cooper.
ABOUT AZURE PRODUCTIONS
Founded on the principles of Create, Inspire, Achieve, Azure Productions is a Sydney-based independent production company specialising in the development, production and co-production of shorts, feature films, television and web-series. The company was founded in 2004 by producer Annmaree J Bell and managing director John Frank.
Azure Productions aim is to provide high quality services and produce international feature films which are successful both creatively and commercially.

SYNOPSIS
In the final moments of his 17th year, Miklós Varga’s world has come crashing down. His plans to run away and escape his claustrophobic migrant family have been brutally undone by the unexpected death of his older brother, Tomi. Only Mik knows the events that led to this tragedy and as far as he can see there is only one person to blame. Himself. He is suddenly torn between his desire to head north and start a new life with his best friend Dan, and his familial obligation to fix his broken family: torn between the life that he wants to have and the life that he feels he’s expected to have. Can he fill the aching void left by his adored sibling or is he toxic and destined to bring ruin upon everyone he loves? Teenage kicks is a journey through the minefield of adolescence, as Mik searches for a way to navigate through his guilt and explosive sexuality to become the man that he wants to become.

THE FILM
Teenage Kicks is a story about that moment in your life where you transition from a teenager to an adult. It’s an explosive time; it’s a time where your sexuality is born; it’s a time when the world can turn on its head in a single day and everthing is extremely dramatic. You’re invincible and you can make terrible decisions; minute by minute.
Teenage Kicks is like the embodiment of being a teenager in Sydney in summer; it’s hot, it’s sun, skin, sea; it’s dramatic, it’s turbulent and before you know it, it’s over and you’re on the other side.
