项目的挑战
Oband作为一支技术型的创业团队，尽管我们在电子硬件和App软件等技术方面都具备成熟的经验，但腕表的设计和制造工艺对于我们团队来说是一次全新的挑战，结合智能模块的腕表已不再是简单的计时工具，我们更要考虑她的定位和品位。
1. 外观设计
从最初版本的铁饼外形到最终定型的腕表设计，Oband团队是经过上千人次的意见收集，最终才回归到最贴近人们生活的经典腕表形态。Aurora 经历了3次产品功能的重新定义，3次外观设计和结构变更，十几套塑胶和五金模具的报废，只为Aurora带给使用者更好的用户体验，因为我们也是用户。
2. 材料选择
我们相信一款好的穿戴产品必须是舒适与美感并存的，所以Aurora的每个材料都经过精挑细选。
以金属外壳为例，工程师尝试过316精钢，但重量无法接受，又尝试过锌合金，但外观效果无法接受，最后选择了既轻又具美感的铝合金，甚至于表带的选择也是费尽心机，从表带的纹路、车线、皮肤接触后的舒适感等等细节，到最终选择了纯手工缝制的双层牛皮表带，我们不断地尝试各种材料，每个部件的材料都经过不断地甄选，因为Aurora代表的是品位，她凸显着与众不同的风格。
3. 结构设计
传统腕表厚度在10 ~12mm左右，一开始我们将电路板、电池、马达等智能部件模块与传统机芯通过堆叠的方式将表盘厚度做到11mm。但11mm的表盘显得过于厚重，有悖于智能时代轻生活的的标准，后来Oband团队的设计师们与经验丰富的表厂制造师傅N多次在一起探讨各种制造工艺方法和结构布局，不断的对各个零部件的尺寸进行修正和优化，最终实现了9.8mm的超薄厚度，Aurora的结构设计从观赏性到佩戴舒适性都做到了极致。

An easy way to check on your progress
Checking your daily progress is simple and quick on Aurora, just tap the face twice and note the tiny crystal lights that dot the hours as they light up.
There's even an extra hurray when you reach your target for the day.

Long battery life
Aurora is powered by dual batteries so its smart and timekeeping functions don't compete for power. A replaceable Sony SR521SW button cell powers its Swiss timekeeping movement for up to 7 years on light use, and a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery powers the fitness tracking and smart phone assistance module for 5-7 days, or up to two weeks on the larger model.

Aurora’s App provides rich features for managing your activity data easily. The App supports to work with iOS7.1 or above and Android 4.3 or above.

A day with Aurora starts from the moment you wake up
Aurora can be set to wake you gently with a silent vibrating alarm on your wrist in the morning. No loud ringer that wakes up the entire house - it's a personal touch to start the day.

From the moment you get out of bed, Aurora records your steps, calories consumed and used and other activities to help you gain control of your health and fitness choices. Managing your daily activity with Aurora is easy and fun. Simply set a daily goal with the companion App, and Aurora starts to fuel your healthy motivation by tracking all your movements, keeping you informed at all times and supporting your efforts - until you reach your goal.

It turns out that long hours of sitting are one of the greatest hazards of modern life. Aurora can be set to provide a reminder alarm after you've been sitting a long while, to let you know it's time to get up for a quick stretch or walk around the office.
On the go
When you're out and about with your phone stowed in bag or pocket, it can be too easy to miss an important call. Aurora syncs with your phone and lets you know when you've got an incoming call, with a vibration alert and flash of its hour lights.
Track your calories with a photo
Aurora's companion app, HiFit, also lets you set goals for your calorie intake.
Recording your meals is easy, simply snap a photo of your food with the app and it'll match what it sees to its database of food choices to tell you the calorific value of your meal.

How The Funds Will Be Used
Your support for our project will help us run the first production. In return, you will receive Aurora watch at a price much lower than retail.
The Challenges
The Oband team have worked on electrical products for a few years now, but even still, it was a completely new challenge for us to create a timepiece. Our design process spanned many iterations until we found something that balanced design and function in a way we were happy with.
2. Materials
We chose aluminium alloy for the case - lighter than stainless steel and more elegant than zinc alloys - for a comfortable and beautiful dial.
3. Thickness
Keeping the watch slim was the biggest challenge we faced. The thickness of traditional watches averages 9.8mm, however, Aurora's case had to be built to hold more ---printed circuit board, two batteries, vibrating motor as well as its Ronda movement. Our structural engineers worked hard with experienced watch technicians to reduce the thickness of the Aurora to 9.8mm. It was a remarkable achievement for our engineers to combine both electrical and mechanical parts in such a compact space.
