Hello and thank you for visiting!
We are Louis and the Honkytonk and we began recording our debut album in October 2012. We worked hard on it over the summer and on April 6 released the first single, 'Hand On Her Pride'. The CD singles came with hand-made sleeves fashioned out of folded newspaper and printed from lino cut.
As you can see, we are a band that's into hands-on, DIY merch. We've screen-printed t-shirts, calico bags, lino-printed cd covers, hand-pressed badges and we like to make our gig posters from physical artwork.
Our debut album will be released in June/July 2013. We have the Masters ready and waiting, and we are mighty excited about it. It will be available on 180 gram vinyl (with included CD) or digital download only. We all love vinyl at Louis and the Honkytonk but it is expensive to press (over $3000) so we need the help of our friends and fans to make it happen!
As a special incentive to those who pledge, we're going to make, by hand and with love, one hundred record covers. Check out our test run below. Then have a look at the right hand side of the page to see the extra rewards for the different amounts pledged.
