The Disposable Camera Project is a Melbourne-wide participatory photography project where Colour Box Studio gives you a disposable camera, you fill it with photos in 24hrs over 20-21 September, and we exhibit them in October!
We'll take care of developing, scanning and printing everything and present LITERALLY HUNDREDS of photos in a fantastic exhibition. It’ll be an amazing, 24-hour snapshot of Melbourne, exhibited at Ruffian Gallery, our wonderful Project Partner.
Q: How do I participate?
A: Please note that registrations have SOLD OUT due to an overwhelming response to the project. If you missed out you can:
• complete our expression of interest form for another project: click here;
• join us for the CBSDCP Exhibition Opening on 2 October 2014, 6-9pm at Ruffian Gallery;
• support the project via our Pozible campaign and get yourself a postcard or photobook reward.
Just want to help the Project get off the ground? You superstar! Contribute to our campaign and choose one of the other super great, photography-related Rewards!
We want to make the Third Edition of the Disposable Camera Project even bigger and better, so we’re running this campaign and asking for your help so we can pay for cameras, quality printing by our Major Supporter, Prism Imaging, prizes for competition winners and hire of Ruffian Gallery.

How Do I Participate?
Want to participate? If you live in Melbourne and you're available over the weekend of 20-21st September, all you have to do is select the 'Participate' Reward, and then follow these steps (Please note that as of 1 September 2014 all of the participation rewards are sold out):
1. Pick up your disposable camera on Saturday 20th September then GET SNAPPING!
• Pick up from Ruffian Gallery: 10am-1pm OR
• Pick up from the Flinders St Station steps: 10am-1pm OR
• Pick up from the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive 12pm-6pm
2. Drop your disposable camera off on Sunday 21st September so we can get it developed!
• Drop off at Ruffian Gallery: 3pm-6pm OR
• Drop off at the Flinders St Station steps: 4pm-6pm OR
• Drop off at the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive: 3pm-6pm
3. Come to the Disposable Camera Project: Third Edition Exhibition Opening on Thursday 2d October, 6pm-9pm at Ruffian Gallery to check out your photos!

Aside from your disposable camera and 24 hours of shooting fun, you'll also get:
• ALL of your photos printed by Prism Imaging and exhibited at Ruffian Gallery!
• Exhibition lasting from 3rd-12th October!
• A super fun Exhibition Opening where you can check out your photos for the first time, show your mates (or your mum), find out if you were selected for our feature wall, and have a good time with some beverages!
• The chance to have one of your photos specially selected by the Colour Box Studio and Ruffian Gallery team for the Exhibition Feature Wall!
• The chance to win awesome prizes in competition categories including: Best Photo and Best Set of Photos (to be judged by a Special Guest), the People's Choice Award for Best Set of Photos and MORE!
• The chance for your images to be included in the upcoming CBSDCP: 2014 Photobook - exciting details TBC!
• You'll also get to collect and take home all 6 x 4 size prints of your photos when the exhibition ends on Sunday 12th October! Scans of your photos will be provided upon request.

Colour Box Studio is a completely independently funded organisation. If our Pozible campaign is successful, we’ll use the funds we raise to pay for:
