Hello loves!
Last year in 2013 I successfully created,  edited & Launched 2 whole DAMED Magazine issues (128 pages each!)
I had worked 18 hour days and pushed and pushed until It was finished. & then feel flat on my face like a pancake.
It was A LOT of work, naturally (I also do the make up, photography & direct all the artwork included) in my little tiny studio in Williamstown, Vic. I create ALL the artwork here as a one woman show occasionally with a team for featured artists.

I am now ready to do it again, after gaining balance in life. I have had to commit to the DAMED project for less than 3 months straight completely, and not be distracted by small client jobs. To be DAMED you must think DAMED. 

DAMED is important to me as it represents what my talents are, and bring together the story of my artwork & its journey, to be shared with all those who have and continue to support me. I am a one woman show, it's hard, but I feel satisfied when I step back and say, "What the, I created that?' and get brought back to reality from glitter and paint induced world and be reminded I am simply a down to earth artist, and THIS IS WHAT I MAKE MY LIFE; Painting bodies and sending them into another world and capturing it to share how my artwork in DAMED influences other people.

Just trying to remind myself that it is okay to ask for help. There is nothing to loose, I will do anything it takes, and I have, to make my vision happen. Whether I have to photo shoot in my little black studio from 9am to 9pm doing full hair and make up, making other people feel good about themselves for 14 days straight just to print DAMED on paper, I am willing to do it. Even though I will need a bed comma afterwards.
If I had a clone, then this would be easier.. but I don't so help me support the project I work so hard for, that brings out the real glitter dame goddess and even the dark creepy self portrait secrets.

Mad Dame

$3500 is the approx 50% deposit I have to lay down commencement of work, when I reach my deadline of August 15th 2014.

While the Magazine is being printed, approved and shipped, I will be holding event fundraisers and working my butt off  with workshops, auctions and interstate photo shoots to raise the other $3500, plus GST %20 freight & customs fees. So it will cost over $8200%20 in total.

Time and physical energy is the biggest challenge.
After creating issues 1 & 2 I learnt a lot and about priority, and keeping balance between working, creating and relaxing or just plain breathing!
I do work best to a deadline. So now it is set, so many more things pop up that need to get done.
A lot of things to rely on only me to do it, and there are only so many hours in a day you can stay awake for in a row.

So I am learning to get enough sleep and give myself at least one whole day off a week. Or when I come home from a 10 hour photo shoot, to just have a bath, relax those muscles and relax the brain and sleep. Packing lunches and creating more of a routine and allowing when I am home, I am home. I have even created 'Editing camps' where I go away to a quite place or location with no internet and distractions and set small goals and edit and get it done.

I also want to try push myself to let all the people who want to physically assist small jobs, let them in.
