HOMEGROWN FESTIVAL 2014!
Homegrown is a local Sunshine Coast music festival that is designed to give alternative music genres a platform to perform. The Festival aims at uniting young people with their community, and giving our up and coming musicians a chance to show people what they are made of!
Since Homegrown's disappearance in 2012, link to 2012's highlights -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm4z02EUASk, the community has felt an overwhelming amount of disappointment with a massive gap in the ever growing music culture on the Sunshine Coast. It has now been 2 years since the last Homegrown and the community is still mourning what was a great community event, this is where you come in.
We have heard over the past 2 years that you want Homegrown back, we want you to know that for the past 2 years we have been brainstorming a way to gather funds to provide this event for you, but the truth is, we can't do it alone.
What have we decided? After tirelessly looking for grants suitable for Homegrown we have found that at this stage Homegrown would not happen if it is grant dependant. The Youth Engagement team at Sustainable Partnerships Australia have decided the best way to get this event up and running, is through crowdfunding.
All sorts of people are looking to the community to pitch in on the things that they believe in, to help fund the things that they love through small donations!
We are looking to you now, we have heard you & agree with you and with the help of every single one of you we can bring back Homegrown!

Homegrown 2014 will have many obstacles, however most of them will be due to a lack of finances.
If we are able to reach our target we can promise you a Homegrown not to be forgotten!
We have taken in all your recommendations and will doe our absolute best to make sure Homegrown 2014 is the biggest and best it has ever been!
Obvious obstacles include:
* Lack of funding to produce a successful Homegrown event
* Lack of sponsorship to reduce overall costs for the event
* Lack of support from community and young people - could affect overall funds raised for the Homegrown campaign
