Chaos Divine's New Album

The story is simple - we are
five lads from little old Perth, WA who love making and performing music but we need your help to get our new record out for the world to hear!
We are a progressive metal band formed in 2006 and in that time we have released one EP and two studio albums, bagged a collection of music industry accolades, and we have managed to get some decent national radio exposure. We have also taken part in some pretty cool touring and festival appearances, including the recent Perth 2014 Soundwave festival. The band is now ready to embark on the journey of producing and releasing our third studio album - an album that has been close to four years in the making. We are currently at the pointy end of the project and that's where you come in!
In the past it has always been the case that a portion of the expensive costs of touring and creating albums was helped by the grant programs of the State Government and Arts WA - a godsend for impoverished bands like us just trying to get their music out and about. Let's get one thing straight - we aren't in this to make a buck. In fact, we often either run at a loss or just barely break even, and that has been the case since we started. We simply don't care about making money, but producing a great record does't just happen on it's own.
After we self-produced our last album The Human Connection, we were given specific instruction by Arts WA that we would no longer be receiving financial assistance, as we have so kindly been given several touring and production grants in the past. This threw a bit of a spanner in the works for us this time around, and led us to look for alternative funding options. With your generous support through our crowd funding campaign we are now hopeful we can fill in that shortfall and get to do what we do best - making the music we love.
Our goal is to create an amazing progressive heavy album, have it heard by as many people as we can and bring our live shows to audiences across our great land and beyond. It’s a big dream but it all starts here.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The band thought long and hard about
crowd funding this record, as we have so far largely funded all of our
activities ourselves (we are all normal guys with normal jobs). Unfortunately,
the cost of recording, promoting and touring means we can’t always give our
fans the products and tours that we dream of. But why not put our trust back into our
listeners and fans who might be able to help us make this record happen
and in doing so grab some sweet rewards along the way?
We don’t expect to use this money to buy ourselves fancy things or even make a profit (in fact the amount we are looking to raise is only a small part of the total album budget expenses). It’s purely a pre-investment where all of the Pozible funds will go directly towards the costs of tracking, mixing, mastering, promotion, pressing and touring in support of a new album. In return for ‘pre-investing’ and believing in us, we're offering you the chance to not only get your hands on the record as soon as it is ready, but also share in some sweet rewards and experiences. That way we can fund as good a record as pozible (geddit?), and still have the energy and money left over to bring these songs all around the world, to wherever you may happen to live.

The Challenges
After a very lengthy writing process, with several members travelling and working overseas over the last year, the band couldn't be more excited to get our album recorded and out and in the hands of our fans and supporters as soon as humanly possible - but it's a long journey. We have just entered the studio to begin tracking the instruments but that is just the beginning. We still have a way to go with mixing, mastering and preparing everything we need to in order to release the album and get it into your hands.
We're sure that with careful planning we can be on track to release the first single from the album around October so that we can give our devoted listeners a small taste of the fruits of our labour prior to releasing the album in early 2015, accompanied by a national tour. We hope that you can put your trust in us to deliver you the best record we possibly can and give us the best opportunity to play shows in front of even more audiences.
