Firstly, G'day & big thanks for clicking on the interwebby link to read about what Hailmary are up to and to hear plans on our Navigate The Sunrise campaign, which we hope you will want to be a part of.
It mean's a shitload to us, both as a band and as people, that you have taken the time click on the link and read about how you can be involved, and we thank you for that.
On May 16 2014 we will release to rock n roll ears worldwide our newest record a 5 track EP called "Navigate The Sunrise", and to promote the release we are heading off on our first Australian Tour (May 28-June 29).
The Navigate The Sunrise Tour run takes in 16 dates, across 6 states (SA/TAS/QLD/NSW/VIC/WA) over 5 consecutive weeks. We're blown away to have lined up some killer shows, great venues, rock'n bands and even landed ourselves on the Wallapalooza Festival in QLD and once again, the Rock N Load Festival at The Espy in St Kilda.
They say Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world - it sure presents some pretty big obstacles when it comes to touring, (flights aint cheap), but it's not something we've let get in our way before, and not something that's going to stop us now, and we hope you are keen to jump on board and score some cool products to help out offset some of $26,000 in cold hard cash this EP. Release and Tour is going to cost us..
Since stepping onto the iconic Espy Front Bar stage at Rock N Load in 2012, we've racked up over 170,000 kms in the air with ye old Virgin (airline) to do more than 8 tours and 45+ shows in Victoria, a place we proudly now call our second home. Rumour has it we're known as the "Melbourne band" that lives in Perth. We're happy to say we're from Perbourne, Australia.
We had no idea at the time that just one gig could be such a **gamechanger for our band and be the catalyst for so many rad opportunities to be thrown our way to keep returning to a heap of great shows and fesitvals (Rock The Bay, Rock N Load, Brew-Tality Fest), meet some grand new buddies and importantly, to build a national profile and fan base that warranted a national tour.
The Navigate The Sunrise EP represents a new era for Hailmary in that we tracked the record at drummer Vas Shevtsov's Vasectomy Studios in the Perth hillls. Whilst we were fortunate to record both our debut Album and a previous EP in the USA with legendary producer Jeff Tomei (Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Skid Row), this time around we felt ready to take on more of the challenge ourselves and we're amped with the outcome. Jeff continues to be a big part of Hailmary's "heart, soul & sound" and we were stoked to have him co-produce this record, and to also have Glenn Schick master his 3rd Hailmary release from Seattle in the USA.
One of the biggest obstacles we faced heading into the studio and in planning the tour, was that we were without a permanent bass player!!! Well 2 of the best 4 stringers around have stepped in big time for us and we are incredibly appreciative.
Fellow West Aussie, the uber talented Jon Stockman played bass on all 5 NTS tracks, and man he has bought something very special. Without doubt Jono is world class, just working in the studio and witnessing his talent first hand had our jaws dropping.
Taking on 4 string duties on the Navigate The Sunrise Australian Tour will be Melbourne's Mick Quee from legendary Australian rockers – Dead City Ruins. With 3 European tours and over 200 shows in 14 countries under his belt, including European and Australian supports for the Skid Row/Ugly Kid Joe tours, Mick has some serious chops and we can’t wait to tear it up with him on tour.

So everything's locked, everything's loaded, we are pumped, amped and itching to take "Navigate The Sunrise" on the road.
We really hope to have your support for this Tour and we can't wait to get out on the road and visit your town and to do so, we've put together a heap of rad rewards for your hard earned. As well as being able to grab yourselves physical and digital copies of our new record, you can also grab the last remaining physical copies of our back catalogue.

Since then, so many rad bands and promoters have been part of the Hailmary road warrior story - offering us incredible opportunities to take our band on the road and we send a special shout out of thanks to you all.

Originating from one of the most isolated cities in the world, West
Aussie’s Hailmary are rapidly
becoming a shining example of what the modern rock world has to offer.
There is no doubt that 2013 was the “game-changer” year for the band following the February release and relentless touring of their debut Album “Choice Path Consequence Solution” which was recorded with world renowned producer Jeff Tomei (Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Corrosion of Conformity) over a 2 month period at the Cock of the Walk studios in Atlanta, USA.
The Album, which follows two previously well credentialed and WAMi Award winning EP’s “Lottery of Life” and “A Million Miles and Days” received strong national and international airplay, (traditional and online) and a stack of solid reviews and media interest particularly throughout the US, Europe and Australia and provided the platform to increase their profile from a local Perth band to a band with a national and indeed international profile National band.
Via a successful AMRAP and AirIt application over 60 community radio stations have played songs from the debut Album with a large percentage adding to regular playlists, along with airplay from Andrew Haug on Haug Radio and national commercial airplay on Triple M with Higgo.
Kicking off 2013 the band performed 16+ shows on their Debut Album tour (Feb/Mar) across Victoria and WA including the renowned Rock The Bay Festival at The Espy.
By the end of 2013, interest in the live shows from Victorian promoters, bands and fans was such that in 18 months they had notched up over 8 Victorian tours and 45+ shows, including Festivals – Rock N Load, Brew-tality and Rock the Bay and shared the stage with many of the best rising Aussie acts including The Beards, Electric Mary, Sleep Parade,King of the North, EMPRA, The Deep End, MASSIVE, Gay Paris, The Charge, My Left Boot, My Dynamite, Palace of the King, Witchgrinder and Jericco.
February 2014 marked the international digital re-release of a deluxe version of the Album featuring acoustic renditions of both “Yellow Light of Death” and “Control Freak” along with the official film clip for “Yellow Light of Death”, one of the standout tracks from the “Choice Path Consequence Solution” Album. The Clip was exclusively premiered through Heavy Music Mag and in 6 weeks has reached over 1700 views.
On May 16 2014, Hailmary will release their latest record, Navigate The Sunrise, a 5 track EP which will be promoted with a 16 date, 6 state Australian Tour kicking off in Adelaide SA on May 28 and finishing up in Bunbury, WA on June 29.
Plans are already in place for 2 additional Australian Tours in 2014, and to take their unique sound to the UK and Europe in 2015.
