We hope you are well! We are going great, feeling excited and nervous, and we have lot’s of butterflies flying around our tummies, because we have been recording a new album!!



Here is everything in a nutshell:

-We are an independent alternative folk duo
-We have begun recording our third album which we are calling ‘Sleeping Storm’
-We need to raise the funds to finish the album and make it amazing
-We are asking you to pre-purchase the album to help us complete it
-In return we are offering some amazing exclusives such as the one off opportunity to receive the album in a ‘Song-by-Song’ format… (one song per fortnight starting as soon as MAY!!) so you don’t have to wait until the official release in October!!

And now in more detail:

We have really been pushing the boat out with this one – recording at Sydney's 301 Studios with an amazing team of producers and engineers… 301 is one of the country's best studios… Bruce Springsteen, Midnight Oil, Elton John, Joy Division, Coldplay, Muse, Pearl Jam, Powderfinger and The Rolling Stones have all recorded there!!! And our producer, Tim Carr, is totally wonderful (as a person and producer)… he has worked with Matt Corby, Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), and Cat Empire, to name a few – but the main reason we are working with him is because he understands our sound, and what we are trying to achieve…

We are going to name the album ‘SLEEPING STORM’ and it will have 13 original tracks including many of the songs you may have heard us playing live over the past year plus a lot of brand new numbers!

'SLEEPING STORM' is almost ready (and sounding like everything we have ever dreamed it to be) BUT before we can finish it we need to raise the money to pay back a lot of the recording costs and get the songs mixed and mastered, and to eventually print CD’s!

As we are totally independent, we have decided to launch a crowd-funding campaign to achieve all of this.
So we are asking you to please get involved and pre-purchase the album so that we can complete the project!

As our nearest and dearest we want to offer you this album well before its official release! You can pre-purchase it in its regular CD format, and for pledges of $50 and above as well as a CD you will receive the Album in a ‘Song-by-Song’ format. As each song is recorded, mixed and mastered it will be released to YOU. One song per fortnight starting at the end of MAY 2014! Yep… that soon! Each song will come with the story of the song and production notes… so that the album unfolds like chapters of a book… a whole new way to experience an album!!

Anyhoo, whatever you choose to contribute, everyone involved will

But we don’t want that to happen… in fact, any additional funds will go towards a video clip for the title track ‘Sleeping Storm’ !!

The April Maze

We have planned this album to maximise the value of our dollar. We recorded demo versions of all songs in home studios so we could be sure of the songs we are recording and also to save time in the professional studios. We have a total of 10 days for tracking including all over dubs which is very lean in terms of studio time...

We have paid for most of the tracking and now need to pre-sell the album so that we can pay for the following and finish the project:

Tracking
Mixing
Mastering
Manufacture
Publicity

Any additional funds will go towards a video clip for the title track ‘Sleeping Storm’.

If we don't hit our required budget target we will not get any of the money and your pledges are cancelled. The Album is proposed for Public Release in October and we plan to release it early to supporters of this Campaign. The only thing that could delay this is lack of funds. If we hit our target we cannot see any obstacles for this project. --
