**PROJECT UPDATE JANUARY 31st 2013!

Well, to say I’m thrilled to see our BHB Pozible campaign funded in only six days is THE UNDERSTATMENT OF THE WEEK! Not only am I thrilled, I’m also stunned, and seriously seriously humbled (Plain talk = thank you, you make me happy).

What your support signifies is that the kind of education that BHB will offer (i.e. teaching creative people about business, and business people about creativity) is right on time. You want clear, classy educational tools, and I’m gonna do my best to deliver… which means that even though right now, all I wanna do is down-tools and sing “Thank you, thank you, thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings”, I’ll refrain, because this is not a karaoke bar, and I have much work ahead.

WHAT WILL MONEY RAISED SO FAR BE USED FOR?

The Capital raised so far will be used for:
- Web site creation
- Graphic Design
- Writing, filming, production and editing of the e-courses to be released in the second half of 2013
- Marketing and promotion
- The launch and promotion of the very first BHB Conference on the 23^rd and 24^th of March (including guest speakers, sound-technicians, photographer, catering, security staff, venue hire, the list goes on)
- Staffing Costs.

WHAT WILL ADDITIONAL CAPITOL RAISED BE USED FOR:

All things considered (by which I’m referring to the 84 days still left on this campaign and the mountains of excellent rewards still up for grabs), there’s a good chance we will excel our original quest of $26,450, and enter a SUPER BONUS phase.

From here on your additional cold-hard-cash will go towards hugely sexy things like:

- A much higher quality of production (filming, recording, editing, sound-engineering) on the weekly videos for the BHB mailing-list/website.

- More time for our graphic-designers, artists, sound-technicians, film-makers, audio-engineers and I.T. specialists to do their jobs

- Employment, superannuation and insurance costs (including the promotion of existing staff to full-time positions, and filling new part-time staff positions)

- If things go REALLY well, I might even consider upgrading my white 2007 Macbook (look out!).

WHAT IS BIG HEARTED BUSINESS?

Big Hearted Business is a practical, creative response to the sometimes-overwhelming possibilities of our times.

As part of a new-guard of micro-business educators, BHB exists to teach brilliant, creative Australians how to build strong, successful businesses, without compromising their integrity. In so doing, we aim to help counter the enormous educational gap that still exists for creative-entrepreneurs in Australia.

We also teach existing businesses and leaders how to become comfortable with the right-brain thinking they will need in order to truly lead the way in this modern business-landscape.

Through free weekly videos, expert-interviews, affordable online courses, beautifully styled live events and tailored in-house programs, BHB acts as a left-brain/right-brain bridge for those seeking more professionally and creatively satisfying lives.

Put simply, Big Hearted Business teaches creative people about business, and business people about creativity, in ways that make sense. And in doing so, we hope to contribute to a deeper, richer cultural-pool for generations to come.

Like most businesses of the future, social-entrepreneurship is wedded into our profit-model: that’s why we commit to donating 20% of our profits to BHB scholarships, and NFP’s like KIVA and Music Victoria; organisations who help build fairer, more creatively successful communities.

But before we can give away our profits, we need to start creating some! This POZIBLE campaign will support us in employing the dozens of creative-people (project-managers, graphic-designers, web-designers, stylists, photographers, film-makers, musicians) we need to help us create the content for this website. It will also allow us the time we need to developing the absolutely finest courses we can.

So, who says you can't have fun doing something that means something?
